Lost years
Every once in a while you get word of a couple that were madly in love as teenages but for some inexplicable reason lose touch for decades.
Sometimes its the armed forces or one of their family moves to a distant location. Whatever the reason ,it leaves me dismayed since I’m a sucker for true love.
The fun comes when they meet again and re-connect. AAH! another chic-flick in the making.
I’ll be LATE. I have a BUSINESS dinner.
I was once approached by a good friend who wanted my take on how to check on her spouse’s seemingly having an unusual amount of late meetings scheduled. She was fretting the worst.
Normally I would side step a request like that ,but what the hell.
I suggested the next time she got that call, that she say “Oh great ! I will be in that neighborhood this evening .I’ll meet you there”.
I added , At that point if he takes more than five seconds to answer, you have your answer.
In the Middle
Life presents us with a multitude of uncomfortable ,if not, miserable situations. When two people you are extremely close with have a critical disagreement and seem to be hovering over you ,awaiting your position, what do you do ?
Damned if youdo.Damned if you don’t.
Trust me. DON”T.
Simply sit them both down and proclaim “I”M OUT”.
Where is Mr. Right?
How is anyone supposed to know who he or she is? The fact is only time will tell . Crystal balls,Tarot cards and coin flips are certainly not the answer. Time appears to be the most accurate.
